General Terms and Conditions

1) In order for us to process orders we have to receive full payment for the goods you wish to purchase. Once full payment has been received by us we will send a confirmation email to you. This email will be sent to the email address you provided.  We will accept no responsibility for late deliveries if the delivery has been delayed by an error in payment.

2) Although we take great care when providing our customers with precise product information, all weights and dimensions are approximate. Please note: colours displayed in our product photographs may vary slightly on different PC’s

Delivery Information

1) Delivery charges vary according to your location and cannot be refunded. They are set out clearly under the "Delivery" section on our website.

2) We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions. We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period and we will contact you to arrange an alternative time. 

3) You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.


Changes That Could Occur To Your Order

1) Some items are made to order and have a longer delivery time. In these cases this is specified
within the product information.  If an item is out of stock, you will be contacted with an estimated delivery date.

2) We reserve the right to cancel the order if one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.

3) If we do cancel your order we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit your account any sum deducted by us from your credit/ debit card as soon as possible within 30 days of your order.

4) Once you have placed your order you cannot amend it, if you contact us straight away we will try our best to alter it for you if it hasn’t been packed or sent out.



If you do not receive goods ordered within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, we will have no liability. If the goods do not arrive on the date given you must contact us straight away.

Changes Made To Legal Notices

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible.


We want you to be happy with your purchase but if you are not you can return any item within 14 days of receiving your order as long as it is unused, in perfect condition and in its original packaging.

If you wish to return items please contact us via email at info@thegreatbritishhome.com and provide proof of purchase. We can exchange the item for a replacement (stock dependent) or process a refund within 30 days of receiving the goods back, which will go onto the card which was used when you made your purchase.

With the exception of faulty items or goods damaged in transit, we are not able to refund any postage charges but will send any exchange items free of postage charges. If you are unable to provide proof of purchase, an exchange or gift voucher to the value of the lowest-selling price for the returned goods will be offered.

Once you have contacted us, you must take reasonable care of the products that you wish to return, failure to do so could result in The Great British Home being unable to refund you.

When we say 'reasonable', we mean:

  • You can open the packaging to look at the products but the original packaging should be retained and un-damaged.

  • Tags shouldn't be removed from any item.

  • Returned items should be well packaged to avoid damage in transit back to us.

We require that you use insured registered delivery (such as My Hermes) and keep the Proof of Postage receipt as we cannot be responsible for return parcels that fail to reach us.

Items Damaged in Transit

Although we ensure our deliveries are well-packed when they leave our warehouse, accidents can happen in transit. Please check all good on receipt and contact us about any faults within 5 working days and if possible please email pictures of the damaged item(s) to info@thegreatbritishhome.com and we will resolve the problem as quickly as possible for you.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights in respect of defective products.
